David's life changed when God chose him to be king. Although he was only a shepherd boy, God saw his faithful heart. Prophet Samuel anointed him with oil, showing that God had selected him to lead His people.

Another important event was David's victory over Goliath. His courage and trust in God made him a hero and strengthened his faith.

David loved God from a young age.
